Doreen’s Colossus came to me about 25 years ago with a label S. flava x oreophila and the appearance of this cultivar supports this parentage. Plants of Doreen’s Colossus are consistently, year after year, the tallest and most massive in the greenhouse. The rhizomes are very large and in my experience no other Sarracenia fills, or breaks, a pot as quickly as this plant. ~Jerry Addington
